Reference: 1 Timothy 3:2‭-‬5 NIV

Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect. (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?)

My Thoughts:

Before you give your gift to the world, you must have your house(hold) in order. You should be able to showcase your gift at home and it should not takeaway from you fulfilling your role in the house. A business, a position, a church, a goal it means  nothing if you have to sacrifice your household or the order of it for completion or success. I must prioritize my house and its functions because out of it may produce whatever I need in my gift later. David needed the sheep to become King. My house is not taking me away from me gift, it’s preparing me to properly fulfill it.
