This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
Faith is the confidence that I have in whatever I believe in: it’s God’s Will for me to have it, and it’s already mine. My life must change in order for my faith to remain active. I have to align my decisions, priorities and language with what I’ve claimed. Because the mindset of faith is the the answer or desired result is past tense, not future. My life is a direct reflection of whatever I am believing for. My time, my money, my conversation all show where I have placed my faith. Healthy minded people read about survivor lifestyles. Wealthy minded people study wealth building information. Joyous people study gratitude and compassion. If I only “talk faith” and don’t change my life to match it, then it’s “false faith” aka fear and God is not in it.
